Community Open House – Seismic/Construction Project

shovelsEnd of School Year Marks a New Beginning
A seismically safer and upgraded Ecole Alpha Secondary is one step closer. Today, Burnaby North MLA Richard T. Lee and Trustee Narang met with students, teachers and staff at the school to take part in the groundbreaking on the $27.2-million project. They also unveiled the design plans which includes replacing two classroom wings with a better organized and more modern space. “While safety is always our top priority, we appreciate the project management team’s ingenuity at addressing additional project priorities such as creating a learning commons, STEM labs, and energy efficiencies,”says Board of Education chair, Ron Burton. “We look forward to the grand unveil in the fall of 2018.”
The school will be hosting a community Open House on Monday, June 27 from 3:30 to 6:30 pm in the school library.
